Infrachain, the Luxembourg based Blockchain community for operational Blockchain projects, announces the opening of team registrations for the second edition of its Blockchain hackathon, the Infrachain Challenge. Infrachain Challenge will take place on 5th and 6th October 2021 at The LHoFT. The hackathon is organized with the support of the Ministry for Digitalisation.

The winning teams will be awarded a total of EUR 10.500,- in cash prizes. Plus, resulting concepts may possibly be turned into working applications.

In 2020, Neofacto won the Challenge, ahead of Filedgr. Both projects were later selected in the Luxembourg Blockchain Lab’s first call for projects where they are currently being further developed.

The 2021 edition of Infrachain Challenge will focus on the use of digital credentials and wallets in the interaction with public authorities and private companies.

Fabrice Croiseaux, President of Infrachain a.s.b.l., comments : “With the use of Blockchain based digital credentials and digital wallets, citizens can regain control of their personal data. They are at the heart of trusted interactions in the digital world. At Infrachain Challenge 2021, we expect the teams to develop some inspiring concepts that could later be transformed into operational solutions.”

Registration for the Infrachain Challenge is open until 15th September 2021. Further information is available at: http://challenge.infrachain.com
