Esch2022 is getting ready to kick off this year’s European Capital of Culture and the yearlong celebration of art. Luxembourg hosts for the 3rd time the European Capital of Culture and the Government decided to organize this edition in the 2nd largest city in Esch-Sur-Alzette. The other partners of the European Capitals of Culture initiative are Kaunas in Lithuania and Novi Sad in Serbia. The motto of Esch2022 is “Remix Culture”and covers more than 2000 events. With less than 30 days until the opening ceremony, the events spread out throughout the whole year with performers, expert discussions and collaborative initiatives aimed at the future of the region, enriched through culture.
